• Trolley Driver and Party Host

  Part time $15/hr + tips

  Trolley Pub Charlotte is looking for outgoing people to drive and host our 14 passenger party trolley tours through South End. Think of the job as part driver, part party host, and part neighborhood guide. You're the person every group looks to for a safe, on time, genuinely fun two hours. No two tours are the same. One group might be a bachelorette party that wants the bride celebrated at every stoplight, and the next might be a corporate team that just needs a break from the conference room. Either way, you keep the music going, keep the route moving, and keep everyone safe with calm, friendly control. Our hosts also handle onboard beverage service, so bartending or serving experience is a real plus. We've been rolling in Charlotte since 2012 and we're top rated on Google and Tripadvisor, largely because of the people driving our trolleys.   What you'll do

  • Greet groups at check in, present the rules, and answer questions before departure
  • Drive the trolley along our South End route, adjusting stops as needed for each group
  • Host the tour by running the music and keeping the energy welcoming from start to finish
  • Handle onboard beverage service and cooler organization responsibly
  • Keep the group safe and on schedule with friendly, confident control
  • Keep the guest of honor in the spotlight for bachelorette parties, birthdays, and celebrations
  • Turn trolleys around efficiently between tours
  • Keep trolleys and the shop clean and report any maintenance needs
  • Complete check out procedures at the end of every tour

  What we're after

  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Availability on evenings and weekends
  • Able to steer the trolley, help with pedaling momentum, and stand for a full two hour tour
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Reliable transportation to 2500 Dunavant St

  Nice to have

  • Bartending, serving, tour guide, or hospitality experience
  • Entertainment, acting, or music background
  • Familiarity with South End and its breweries, bars, and murals
  • Weekday availability
  • Responsible alcohol service training
  • Current First Aid or CPR certification

  When you'd work

  • Part time with flexible scheduling
  • Tours run 7 days a week, mostly evenings and weekends
  • Each tour is two hours, rain or shine
  • A good fit for people with a full time job looking for a fun side gig

  Applicants must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license and clean driving record. All drivers are required to obtain a City of Charlotte PVH permit, and we cover the application cost. Tours operate rain or shine.
