Accessibility Statement
How we work to keep this site usable for everyone, and how to tell us when it isn't.
Trolley Pub is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Accessibility tools on this site
The accessibility button in the bottom-left corner of every page opens a panel of adaptations you can turn on for yourself. Text size runs to 4 steps, and each of these can be switched on independently:
- High contrast — Black text on white, with links in a high-contrast blue.
- Underline links — Underlines every link so it stands out from the text.
- Larger cursor — Swaps the pointer for an outsized, high-contrast one.
- Reduce motion — Stops the site's animations and transitions.
- Strong focus outline — Marks whatever the keyboard is on with a heavy outline.
A Skip to main content link appears at the top of the page the moment you press Tab, so you can get past the navigation without stepping through it. Your choices are saved in your browser and applied to every page you visit on this site.
What we do
We build with semantic HTML and a logical heading order, keep every interactive element reachable by keyboard, provide text alternatives for images that carry meaning, and review colour contrast on body text and calls to action.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is ongoing work and some content may not yet be fully accessible — including parts of the booking and waiver services our partners run, which are governed by their own standards. We keep improving and we welcome your feedback.
